Removing Popcorn Ceiling!

We just sold a house in Lakewood that had popcorn ceilings. The previous owners had planned to remove it but life happened and they just never got around to it.

Well it got me thinking how hard could it possibly be? I know we've all seen the videos of some guy attaching a scraper to a vacuum and making it seem so simple, but we all know that it never quite works out that way....like Pinterest.

I found a couple of tips, one being just the good ol' fashion way of a little bit of elbow greese and patience, lots of it. There are tools you can rent and buy that could help ease the process. You can tie a bag to the scraper to try and catch some of the mess.

Either way, what would you all do? Choose to do it yourself or hire someone to avoid the headache?
