Why REALTORS® Still Have More IMPACT Than Machines
Dated: April 13 2018
We live in a web search based world nowadays.... no one is denying that. As fast as the internet and your favorite search engine may be, it's still dependent on the human behind it feeding it content. As you delight in the ability to search virtually, looking through homes across your city, across your state, heck, across the world..... how current do you really think these listings may be?
Having a live and human person working on your behalf, a Realtor, is going to be the team working for you. Your Realtor is going to keep you abreast of new, current and active listings. A search engine cannot guarantee you that what you're looking at and falling in love with may be still available! A search engine isn't going to be able to confirm, within minutes, that you can get a showing.
With a Realtor, you have an individual working with your hopes and dreams, forwarding you listings that have your best interests in mind and your emotional as well as logical thought processes to get you into your new home! A Realtor finds new listings and notifies you of the listing before you happen to log into your search engine or get an email with a new notification. Your Realtor gets you through the front door ahead of the others looking for similar properties.... possibly the same search engine, getting the same search notification, probably at the same time as you!
Purchasing a new home, whether you're a first time buyer, looking for an upgrade or downsizing... your new dream home takes some finesse. Having a Realtor gives you a voice for all the things you do or don't know about! A Realtor asks the questions you forgot to ask, don't know to ask, or are too busy to look into. A Realtor tells you about comparisons of properties in the area. A listing may be too high, right on market value or suspiciously low: things your Realtor will get you to consider as you evaluate as you search.
Ask a friend or co-worker that you know who has recently bought a home. Ask them about their Realtor.... would they recommend him or her to you? Do you know someone who is a Realtor- friends' son or daughter? What were the benefits of the Realtor relationship? Did they feel they made a more educated purchase? Did they feel they had an ally, someone working for them and them alone? Did they feel more confident and secure when they moved into their new home knowing that just about everything had been communicated and overseen for them through out the process? I'm going to tell you, the answer to all the above is going to be YES.
Search engines are fun and interesting for window shopping. A Realtor is going to open the door to the shop, get you a great item perfect for you, negotiate the best sales price and have you in a new something-something smiling in the mirror and saying, "This is the one!"
